Roth and Bailey Share Frost Fest Spoils
By Randy Spencer, OntarioOval.com

Flamboro Speedway, is typically one of the first race tracks to open and the last one to close every year and 2011 was no exception. Perhaps one of the greatest seasons in memory with lots of great action including the Canada Day Race of Champions, the Grisdale Triple Crown Series, Oktoberfest Classic and it culminated this day with the London Recreational Thunder Car and Mini Stock Challenge at Frost Fest. Dave Bailey, Matt Mulholland and Nick Roth were the big winners when all was said and done.

The official date of the 2012 Flamboro Speedway Annual General Meeting and Registration Day has been confirmed to be Sunday February 5th.  The meeting will be held at the Waterdown Legion at 79 Hamilton Street North in Waterdown, the same location and room as the awards banquet (2nd floor).  The doors and registration will open at 1pm.  The meeting will commence at 2pm.  Management will be presenting the changes to the handicapping and lineup structure, as well as important updates to each division's rule book.  Flamboro Speedway will also be introducing a NEW four-cylinder Pure Stock division, aimed at creating a true entry-level class for beginner racers.  Anyone interested in participating at Flamboro Speedway events in 2012 are welcome to attend.  You can download and complete a copy of the driver / car owner registration form in advance of the meeting by clicking here, or using the link under the Competition tab.  Registration fees at the meeting will be $100 per driver.  Registration after the date of the meeting will be $125 per driver.  All drivers participating in Flamboro Speedway regular season events will be required to be registered with the speedway and have a valid racing license.  Registration rules are available here for your review.  New edition 2012 Flamboro Speedway rule books will be available at the meeting, including all 4 divisions.  Rules will be posted to the website once published.

Schedule Sneak Peek, 2012
A note from JP and Flamboro Speedway - January 25, 2012  6:00pm

While details of the 2012 event schedule are yet to be finalized and published, promoter John Casale has shared some insights into the excitement that is expected to fill Hamilton's asphalt arena this summer season.  The Grisdale Triple Crown Tournament for Late Model racing will return for it's 10th anniversary, completing a decade of providing the top tier grassroots competition in southern Ontario.  The G3 events are scheduled for Saturday June 9, Saturday July 7, and Saturday August 11, all with rain dates for the following Sunday if needed.

Other important dates shared are: Practice Day, April 14th;  Opening Day, April 21st featuring Thunder Cars and Mini Stocks;  and the first appearance of the Late Models on April 28th.  Casale has also shared that all regular divisions (Lates, Thunders and Minis) will have scheduled nights off through the year, and that once again some of Ontario's top touring race groups will fill those openings in the schedule.  There is also plans to announce a new Flamboro home division (already leaked in the message board community), and that this division may be joined by Thunder Cars and other attractions to complete a Sunday program on the summer long weekends (Victoria, Canada and Labour Day).

Supporting Businesses Who Support Grassroots Stock Car Racing
A note from Flamboro Speedway management

Sponsorship has been a driving force of motorsport for decades.  From the beaches of Daytona, through the mountains of Appalachia, and across the Great Lakes into southern Ontario, it is with business investment and support that stock car racing has grown into one of the largest and most popular North American pastimes.  Sponsors help speedways to make facility improvements, provide prizes and incentives for race teams and promote race shows to eager fans and customers alike.  Sponsors help race cars get built, race teams get outfitted and race programs to grow.  As we enter our 51st racing season we would like to thank all sponsors of Flamboro Speedway racing for their ongoing support.  We will continue to do our part to raise awareness of racing partnerships, and promote your business and services.

Looking for a business service?  You can check out our Partners link for speedway partnerships.  We have also reported race team sponsors and web links with each driver profile, available from the Roster list, under the Competition tab.  And on race night, don't forget to pickup your copy of the Race Night Review - official Souvenir Program of Flamboro Speedway.

We ask you Race Fans, to please help us support the partners who support grassroots racing at your local speedway.
