Thunder Car Rules Amendment, Axles

After examining recent events at Flamboro Speedway during the 2009 racing season involving axle failures in the Thunder Car Division, Flamboro Speedway management has decided to make the following rules changes based on safety concerns.

Based on research involving cost and availability, Thunder Cars at Flamboro Speedway will be required to run the following right rear axle: 

Superior Axle & Gear:  PA5774 20-spline, 30 7 1/16" long;  PA5967 28-spline, 28 1/2" long; 
PA6069 26-spline, 28 1/2" long;  PAST73 (Camaro axle).  (Prices range from $133 to $155 Cdn funds plus applicable taxes)  There is a 3-4 day turnaround on delivery from the point of ordering.

These axles are available via Grisdale Enterprises, however it is not required that you purchase the part from there.  NO SUBSTITUTE is allowed.  ONLY the Superior axle part numbers as listed will be allowed.   While there is a wide variety of axles available and in use, the above axles are the most common ones.  If Superior Axle & Gear cannot provide you with the axle you need, contact Donny Cox at 519-846-8158, or via email, doncox3@live.com. 

The above amendment takes effect immediately and the correct axle must be in place for practice day and the start of the 2010 season.  Cars not equipped with an approved right rear axle will NOT be allowed to practice or race.
