Hamilton, ON: Promoters John Casale and Frank
Casale are excited to publish a new addition to the 2008
Flamboro Speedway Points Chase.
Six-thousand dollars in contingency cash prizes have
been added to this summer’s grass roots racing program,
to be won by the top performing drivers at Hamilton’s
premier stock car facility.
In the
spirit of ‘The Chase’ for the championship, the newly
added contingency dollars will be shared over two
separate points in the midst of the season.
Participating drivers will want to remember these dates:
June 28th and August 30th. The
Flamboro Speedway point leaders at the close of these
two race events, in each of the hometrack divisions,
will be awarded with contingency prizes.
The
point leader of the Grisdale Late Models will receive a
$2,000 dollar cash reward, and the point leaders of the
Midtown Carstar Thunder Cars and Waterdown Napa Mini
Stocks will each receive a $500 dollar cash reward. All
rewards will be presented at the 2008 Awards Banquet,
and the winning driver must be in attendance or
represented by a proxy to receive his or her prize.
Said
John Casale, “I am very excited to present this kind of
prize to our drivers. They need our support, and the
support of our great sponsors, to keep putting on a
great show for race fans.”
Casale
also made note that this new award program was
sponsored, but would not give up the identity of the
generous benefactor. “We’ll make a big deal and show
great thanks and appreciation at the banquet. Just make
sure you’re there.”
To
whomever the mystery sponsor is, on behalf of all
involved in the Flamboro racing program, our many thanks
for your support. See you at the banquet.
Note to the
Competitors:
To be clear, the point
score following the night of June 28 (and then August
30) will be the determining standing. There will be no
drop nights considered when determining the point
leaders for these contingency awards. Awards will be
presented at the 2008 Flamboro banquet. The winning
drivers must be in attendance or represented by a proxy
to receive his or her prize. Failing to meet these
criteria will forfeit any earned awards.
